AGARTALA, May 16 (TIWN): CPI-M created 8 lakhs unemployed youths, now BJP stopped recruitments in Govt Jobs so Tripura’s social burden skyrocketing. The anti-Bengali stings of various separatist parties in Tripura are leading tensions in Tripura. Demanding a separate land has been a democratic right but calling majority Bengalis or any Community as the ‘Overload-burdens’ for their state is unconstitutional. Calling Bengalis who came after 1949, 15th October as “Burden†for Tripura has hurt the sentiment of the people who have been paid taxes regularly since Kings times.
But with the political motive to gain attention a section of tribal separatists calling themselves only the “son of the soil” has termed the Bengalis as Bangladeshi taking the opportunity of the State Govt and oppositions silence against their filthy remarks.
The Bengalis have been paying taxes and shared revenue with the Govt of India. In monarchy era also taxes were paid regularly by that section.
However past has become the history but few separatists groups have emerged to gain attention politically and to come in media limelight via press conferences the separatists are talking without any pause in their mouths.
Extreme racists talks as ‘distribution of Bengalis in other states’ have also got a free license as the state govt is silent.
Questions are raising , if the Bengalis came from other countries, then they had nothing except “poverty” but still they paid taxed and with hardwork have gained the success without any reservation-system.
But a newly emerged separatist group named ‘Twipra Dophani Sikla Srwngnai Motha’ has called the majority Bengalis as “Overload-Burden” for Tripura, and demanded Bengalis should be immediately pushed back to Bangladesh or they can be equally distributed among other states.
Not only this, the NRC dateline they have demanded has said must be from 1949, 15th October when the then Queen Kanchan Prabha Devi joined Tripura with India.
