AGARTALA, May 15 (TIWN): A new separatist body named ‘Twipra Dophani Sikla Srwngnai Motha’ (TDSSM) has introduced themselves demanding National Registers of Citizens (NRC) should counted from 1949, 15th October.

Unlike Assam, in Tripura they want the 'outsiders' who migrated in Tripura from East Pakistan  before 1940, October 15 must be push back now. They also said, Govt of India may take them to other states.

Calling the Bengalis as a "burden" for the state Tripura, the TDSSM leader said, “Govt of India can take the refugees to other states or whatever it wants, but they can’t continue their livings here. We want NRC should be launched in Tripura as soon as possible, which will counted since 1949, not 1971”.

“If the Govt fails to do that then, we demand Tipraland for our existence and identity”, they said.

The new groups emerged with few tribal youths claiming the non-tribals as the ‘foreigners’.

Via a press conference at Agartala Press Club, they introduced themselves before media today.

This demand was placed when Tripura is already undergoing heavy tensions fueled by the separatists IPFTs in ADC  areas, who are right now sharing the power in alliance with the BJP Govt.

The IPFTs on the other side, sat in road blockade, strikes in demand of IPFT led rulers in the ADC areas. The IPFTs are unready to accept any tribal leader also who belong BJP or any other party.

The BJP-IPFT led Govt when suffering from existential crisis and BJP National President Amit Shah has called the IPFT leaders to meet him at Assam, the new separatist group TDSSM with a strange note has demanded NRC should be reviews from 1949, 15th October, when the then Queen Kanchan Prabha Devi joined Tripura with Indian land.
