AGARTALA, May 1 (TIWN): Under the 25 years of CPI-M regime, the state govt only created 2 B.Ed colleges in whole Tripura and before 2010 the Colleges were booked for the employees only, not fresher, which led the education system in a paralyzed-condition. However, following such negligence and corrupt system, in 2018 election there was a mass rejection of the CPI-M in Tripura and people had chosen BJP to run the administration. Now, demands have raised by College and University students to open more numbers of B.Ed colleges in Tripura, so that in coming days a maximum numbers of students may pass out with B.Ed qualifications. On the other side, with another issue, resentment continues among unemployed youths with fake B.Ed certificate holders are allegedly existing in Tripura schools after they managed govt jobs via TET.
Neither the previous, nor the present govt has shown interest to re-verify the B.Ed certificates, which were allegedly borrowed from Kolkata. With new Govt has assumed charges, pending demands have been raised by a section of teachers and also unemployed youths that the new govt must re-verify the teachers' B.Ed certificates, especially when the Govt is talking about 'Quality Education'.
The present govt already expressed concerns about the teachers-crisis issue, whereas the rural schools are the worst sufferer, but at the same time when due to lack of B.Ed qualification many students couldn't appear in TET exam, on the other side many 'fake' B.Ed certificates were alleged time to time.
With all these, demands have raised to open more numbers of B.Ed Colleges in Tripura immediately with the 2017-18’s fresh session.
