AGARTALA, April 26 (TIWN): Resentment to brew among fashionable Tripura girls and women, as Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb has dictated “Indian beauty should look like Laxmi, Saraswati”. “Diana Hayden was totally unworthy to be a Miss World. Actually, it was a part of pre-fixed plan of International market to attack upon Indian local products. As a result whoever was going for Miss World Competition they won...constantly 5 times Miss World from a single country like India...... can you imagine ? Anybody participated such competitions they were wining Miss World trophy, including Diana Hayden. How can Diana Hayden become a Miss World by representing Indian culture ?”, he said. “Aishwarya Rai is okay as she somewhere can represent Indian beauty. Real Indian beauty should be like Laxmi, Saraswai, but in Diana Hayden I can’t find any of them”, he said. The Chief Minister was addressing in Pragna Bhawan in a Design Workshop on handloom products.

"The Paris based international markets are actually a based on Mafia-raj. They let the people to walk on ramp, whereas everything is fixed, who is going to win the award", CM said. 

"I am not criticizing the businessmen but their way was bad. When they saw 5 times India had been awarded, then they spread marketing here with artificial products. Earlier, Indian women never used shampoo but local leaves to wash hair to get rid of dandruff", he said.

"Now women do not prefer local product anymore, but only parlour and cosmetics have become their lives. Why today Indian women are not being awarded as Miss World anymore ? Because, the international market is done with its work and bought India with products", he added.

***Diana Hayden is an Indian actress, model, and beauty queen. She won the Femina Miss India contest in 1997 and was crowned Miss World 1997. She was a contestant in the popular controversial reality show Bigg Boss in 2008.

Recently Tripura Chief Minister’s another speech sparked controversy nation-wide when he claimed, internet was not invented by US but by India before lakhs of years and in Mahabharata's era people had internet and Sanjay in Mahabharata was narrating Kurukshetra to blind King Dritarashtra via internet.
