AGARTALA, April 25 (TIWN): For the second time, CBI to interrogate Tripura's Ex-CPI(M) Social Welfare Minister Bijita Nath today at her own resident in Dharmanagar. This is the second interrogation of CBI with the CPI-M leader following her alleged involvement in Rose Valley chit fund scam, one of the major financial scam took place since 2008-2014 in Tripura under the CPI-M Govt and some other states like West Bengal and Odisha. In Tripura 14 lakh depositors were cheated by the Rose Valley chit fund company and the Minister Bijita Nath herself was an agent of it. On yesterday, Talking to TIWN over phone Minister Bijita Nath had confirmed that CBI will interrogate her once again. "I will answer whatever is asked and will cooperate with CBI", Nath told TIWN.

Today, Bijita Nath to be interrogated at Dharmanagar Bagbasa, whereas tomorrow at the MLA house Badal Choudhury to be grilled.

Tension have gripped among the CPI-M leaders with the new entry of the Ex-Minister Badal Choudhury's name, who is also a central committee member. It was said by the BJP in its Vision Document that after the Govt comes in power, each and every culprits of Rose Valley scam will be punished and nobody will be pardoned.

The BJP also claimed, the Ex-CM Manik Sarkar's involvement in that scam who himself had inaugurated the Rose Valley Park at Amtali in 2008. Badal Choudhury’s private secretary of Rose Valley era (2004 to 2008) will also be interrogated according to the CBI’s letter. Bijita Nath was earlier also grilled by CBIon June 29, 2017 at Secretariat by CBI officer Bratin Ghosh. Another major accused of Rose Valley scam CPI-M spokesperson Gautam Das was also interrogated by CBI on that time at the party office zone.

But amid opposition’s constant demand of CBI investigation in Rose Valley chit fund scam, the CPI-M Govt never asked for CBI. On 2013, 12th May Chit fund reports were sent to CBI. Among all the cases, 3 were Rose Valley cases with the Case No. under West PS 140/2013 the amount was shown as Rs. 5,400/-, whereas in the Case No.  141 /2013 the whole amount was shown as only Rs. 10,000/- whereas in Case No. 132/ 2013 “No amount” was sent. Thus in total the amount came with only 15,4000/- which CBI said “it’s too minimum to come under CBI.

Most interesting matter is that the 3rd Case i.e. Case No. 132/2013 was actually done by Tripura Govt. whereas other cases were doing by private lawyers”, said Nath.

Later the Case No. 132/2016 which was shown with zero balance, after proper investigation it came out with Rs. 97 crores 84 lakhs under West PS.

Earlier referring that incident BJP leader and present Minister Ratan Lal Nath said, “This is enough to prove that the Tripura Govt is much more desperate to save Rose Valley in anyway”.

Before the election, Ratan Lal Nath told TIWN, ''Our first duty in Rose Valley chit fund scam will be to hanover the case to CBI. First of all BJP will handover the chit fund cases to CBI for proper investigation through which the culprits will be come out and then their properties will be seized. With the seized properties the depositors moneys will be returned back". But, whether after 7 - 8 years of the scam CBI can find out the culprits, it was also asked to Nath. However, in reply Ratan Lal Nath said, ''Govt data itself will reveal the truth. First the employees who gave the chit fund companies trade license it will be found out and then naturally when the employees will be interrogated, big heads will come out".
