AGARTALA, April 24 (TIWN): With a political change in Tripura administration, the BJP-led State Govt is finally moving towards CBI investigation in Rose Valley chit fund scam after 41 days of the Govt had assumed charge. Tripura’s two CPI-M Ex-Ministers Badal Choudhury and Bijita Nath have received letters from Assembly speaker regarding CBI's interrogation's time schedules. CBI will interrogate the CPI-M leaders for their alleged involvement in Rose Valley chit fund scam, which looted 14 lakhs people's money under the CPI-M Govt. Talking to TIWN over phone Minister Bijita Nath has confirmed that CBI will interrogate her once again. “I received a letter regarding this on yesterday and CBI will interrogate.....it’s true”, Bijita Nath told TIWN. However, with a surprise, Minister Badal Choudhury’s name has also been included in the list. The interrogation will be done on 25th April at the house of Bijita Nath at Dharmanagar's Bagbassa and on the next day on 26th April CBI will interrogate Ex-Minister Badal Choudhury in his Agartala residence (MLA hostel) by CBI SP Sudip Roy.

Badal Choudhury’s name was never heard earlier in the Rose Valley link, one of the strongest remaining CPI-M leaders in Tripura. Badal Choudhury’s private secretary of Rose Valley era will also be interrogated according to the CBI’s letter.

Rose Valley is  7 times more ponzi scam than Sarada and country’s highest ever chit fund group, but eventhough opposition party’s raised voice to run direct CBI investigation in Tripura Rose Valley scam, but at that time the then ruling showed never interest in it, rather it preferred Tripura Police, SIT in it.

The opposition parties have time to time complained about Ex-Chief Minister  Manik Sarkar’s direct involvement in Rose Valley scam.

The chit fund related protest roars which are hitting the CPI-M Govt for its major involvement in promoting chit fund, had successfully opened at least 14 lakhs of bank account in tiny state out of its 36 lakhs population during 1999 to 2013. This has termed by the opposition as a major economic landslide under the CPI-M Govt in Chief Minister Manik Sarkar’s regime.

On 2013, 12th May Chit fund reports were sent to CBI. Among all the cases, 3 were Rose Valley cases with the Case No. under West PS 140/2013 the amount was shown as Rs. 5,400/-, whereas in the Case No.  141 /2013 the whole amount was shown as only Rs. 10,000/- whereas in Case No. 132/ 2013 “No amount” was sent. Thus in total the amount came with only 15,4000/- which CBI said “it’s too minimum to come under CBI”.
