AGARTALA, April 24 (TIWN): “The person who knows basic of science will not talk so foolish”, CPI-M leader Pabitra Kar said reacting on Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb’s claim about internet was existing in Mahabharata era. “His logic was so logicless that Prime Minister had to interfere. I am speechless to react on this, even a child will not utter like him”, said Pabitra Kar. The issue was raised, after Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb said "Not US and other Western Countries, but the internet was invented by India before lakhs of years". Chief Minister was addressing in a workshop on 'PDS Computerization and Reforms', where representatives from Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland attended the workshop at the Pragna Bhawan. "Many may decline the fact, but if internet was not there, how Sanjay (a figure of Mahabharata) could see the Kurukshetra war and describe Dritarashtra about that ? That means internet was there, Satellite was there", CM said.

"I feel proud that I was born in such a country which is much advanced in technology. The countries, which claim them as the best countries are hiring India's talents to upgrade their software mechanism", he said. 

This statement fueled like Lanka’s fire across Nation and soon it became a international issue.

But the Chief Minister on the next day rather than accepting his fault, said, “The people who are criticizing me like to insult my country and to praise other countries”.

Not only, this Chief Minister also gave interviews in National media to prove his claim.

In a national media Zee-Hindustan, Biplab Deb said, “How can I give you proof, for satellites proof you have to go to sky”.

Finally PM Modi had warned all BJP’s chatterboxes to shut their non-stop nonsense utterances before the media and then not to blame media when they criticize.

However, both CPI-M and Congress have mocked at BJP Chief Minister’s claim, whereas another Congress leader of Tripura Gopal Roy said, “Biplab Deb should read history, geography line by line before he speaks anymore”.
