AGARTALA, April 23 (TIWN): When state Congress leader Gopal Roy hit Biplab Deb for his poor knowledge after he claimed ‘Internet was there in Mahabharata era’, CPI-M leaders retrained to comment much, rather they want public to mock at the Youth-icon Tripura BJP Chief Minister. Talking to TIWN, CPI-M Ex-Deputy Speaker Pabitra Kar said, “I am left speechless. A person who has basic knowledge in science can’t utter so foolish. However let them (BJP voters) understand the BJP more deeply.“Chief Minister’s claim was so foolish that Prime Minister had to interfere. Infact even a child will not utter like that”, said Pabitra Kar.The issue was raised, after Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb said "Not US and other Western Countries but India has satellites lakhs of years back and it was due to Internet that Sanjay was able to depict about Kurukshetra war to blind king Dritarashtra”.

This statement within an hour became national media’s headlines and also reported across the globe.

After media criticized the CM, he accused media as Anti-national. After that Biplab Deb visited Delhi and gave interviews in national media and the Chief Minister turned speechless with NDTV journalist's tricky questions.

CM told NDTV, "After many punyos (good works) a person born in India and India had such technologies lakhs of years back”.

The NDTV journalist further smilingly describing the imaginary Skype and pen-drive of Mahabharata's era which were created by Tripura youths after his remarks, asked, "Will you teach your school children about Mahabharata's that internet episodes ?

In reply, Biplab Deb (little uncomfortably) said, "Ofcourse”.

However his mouth was shut after PM Modi hit him on yesterday which had also became  a National news.

In a strongly worded statement to BJP lawmakers who resort to foot-in-mouth remarks, PM Modi on Sunday asked them to avoid making controversial statements before the media, which, in turn, boomerangs to hurt the party as well as one’s image. While interacting with BJP MPs and MLAs through the NaMo App, Modi said party members should not always blame the media for blowing things out of proportion since it was them who provide “masala” to the press.

The CPI-M leaders and Congress leaders have hit the BJP Chief Minister expressing surprises how dumb a person’s knowledge can be.
