AGARTALA, March 19 (TIWN): Rather than 'only' negative balance, it was also proven as a fund-crisis situation which the left govt also faced in last 4 years. Tripura’s poor revenue generation allegation is not shocking, neither it's new. Even state's College students also know about Tripura’s poor revenue generation under Communist's anti-industry policies. But at the same, with the passage of times it’s also becoming clear that the fund either for pay commission or for non-plan expenditure, since the NITI Aayog's invention it was curbed. Now, the Central Govt is 'bound' to allocate ‘extra’ funds for Tripura, which is just because BJP has come in power with those promises. Allocating the demanded fund should not be seen as a 'charity' to the Northeastern state Tripura, rather it was Arun Jaitley's Vision Document helped BJP to unseat the Left Govt. Moreover, it was Arun Jaitley himself who unfolded the vision document at Agartala.

Hence, public is hoping without anymore set of meetings and flying to Delhi, the fund will be cleared and the big-big promises of the Modi Govt will be fulfilled !

Manik Sarkar repeatedly said that since NITI Ayog was empowered, every year Northeast state Tripura was facing  Rs. 2000 crores of fiscal deficit. Now, at Central and State both are the same Govts and when BJP’s expenditure for election was not less than few hundred crores at least, it’s high time that before the 1st Assembly session, BJP govt should clear the pending promises.

Today both CM Biplab Deb and Deputy CM Jishnu Debbarma have met PM Modi, Amit Shah and other Central Ministers. In the evening, a meeting was conducted among Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitely and Tripura CM Biplab Deb, Deputy CM Jishnu Debbarma, Chief Secretary Sanjeev Ranjan and other central govt officials.’

Tripura is suffering from a loss over Rs. 11.50 crore. However in yesterday Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has said that the Central government will extend full support to reverse the situation in the region.

"We have to come up with inadequacies of resources of the deficit state. If we tell northeast to live on its own resources, it will take one day for the region to break, so it our responsibility to support and give a special attention to the region," Jaitley said.

Now state Tripura is waiting for the final decision.

***Centre's response has said critical because, there should be no need of Delhi meetings with Media-Publicity. Govt is bound to fulfill its party's promises which led the CPI-M to lose the election and that's how BJP is in power. Their promises also added 1 job or livelihood per family to curb the Unemployment tension.
