AGARTALA, March 17 (TIWN): Tripura Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Debbarma today stressed upon the necessity of developing India-Bangladesh business relations, which can strengthen both countries’ economies. Jishnu Debbarma who is also the Finance Minister of Indian state Tripura was addressing at Bangladesh Asst High Commissioner’s Office on the occasion of 99th birth anniversary of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. “India and Bangladesh are maintaining a strong relation since the beginning. The bonding between India and Bangladesh is only based on diplomatic relation, but we have cultural ties. Indeed Tripura Kings had their Royal Palace at Comilla. If the business among Tripura and Bangladesh grows, it will help the both Bangladesh and our state Tripura. Economic relation among Tripura and Bangladesh to benefit both Tripura and Bangladesh and we will work accordingly to strengthen the ties".
“Tripura Govt knows the value of Indo-Bangla economic relation and we will strengthen the ties with our neighboring Bangladesh”, said Jishnu Debbarma.
Noteworthy, Tripura right now developing ties with Bangladesh via an ongoing Indo-Bangla railway project, Feni river bridge project. At the same time, central govt has ordered proper sealing of borders to stop illegal intrusions and to curb the smugglings via borders.
