AGARTALA, Feb 14 (TIWN) Even though according national reports about Indian Chief Ministers' assets recently it was claimed that Manik Sarkar is the poorest among them but it's implying many negative sides too.
Poverty of Chief Minister Manik Sarkar is being propagated by the CPI-M ahead of Assembly Poll, but this is however failed to hide Manik Sarkar’s failure in economic development of the state.
As the chief minister is poor, hence he is holding a state which tops in Unemployment, people are running after MGNREGA works as there are heavy lacks of sources of income.
Amid successful drives by his Left Govt against extremists problems of the state, the state is also projecting with the lowest GDP rate, 4th pay Commission of employees and 67 % BPL holders.
Apart from that NIL industrialization, Tripura is bearing low source of income and too much of commodity price. Thus Sarkar’s clean image hardly affecting the public as his being ‘poor’ at the same time has failed to reduce state’s poverty.
Moreover, corruption in recruitments have fueled the anger much among the unemployed youths, as state Tripura is No-1 in unemployment due to nil-industrialization and highest in commodity prices.
