SONAMURA / DHANPUR, Jan 29 (TIWN): After 20 years of a uninterrupted as the Chief Minister of Tripura, under 25 years of CPI-M's empire in this Northeast hilly state, nobody outside knows about Chief Minister Manik Sarkar's own constituency Dhanpur. Dhanpur has no special quality except rampant smuggling of cattle and ganja, phensedyl via India-Bangaldesh border as the maximum people there are living at below poverty line. From tourism to Education, business--- Dhanpur has remained backward just like the deep ADC areas. Amidst all these, Chief Minister Manik Sarkar has submitted his nomination paper for the 5th time at Dhanpur at around 12.30 PM.CPI-M party activists at Sonamura since the morning were busy to welcome Manik Sarkar and massive preparations have done for the Chief Minister’s nomination paper submission rally.

CPI-M's poster boy cum Chief Minister will battle this year against BJP’s female candidate Pratima Bhowmik, a popular face from Sonamura area.

Sarkar and his party are not taking the candidate lightly and leaving no stone unturned in election campaigning. In the last month, the BJP had conducted a massive rally at Dhanpur and gathered heavy response. While addressing at CM’s constituency the BJP leaders promised for doing multiple works within a year, which the Chief Minister couldn’t do since 20 years.

Biplab Deb said that Manik Sarkar is ruling in this constituency since 20 years but has left his own constituency without source of income, no proper roadway is here and the whole area have left without development. Along with Biplab Deb, Tripura BJP State Observer Sunil Deodhar, Vice President Rampada Jamatia and others were present.

Himanta Biswa Sarma said, "Nothing is there but Communist is No-1 to prove what has not been done and No-1 to hide what has done". "It's really a matter of shame that even after ruling 20 years not a single College was set up here. But if BJP comes in power we will take 20 days to make College here", said Sarma.

On the other side, Brinda Karat and Manik Sarkar are in full wave to bring back the Left Govt in power by hook and crook. Various meetings, rallies have been conducted recently by the CPI-M to keep the left seated for more 5 years.

With all these, Manik Sarkar has submitted  nomination papers today at Dhanpur followed by another rally at Sonamura.
