New Delhi, Feb 14 (TIWN) The PCF CUP Cricket Season II, organised by Ponty Chadha Foundation & Citiskape Mediacom, will be held from February 15 to April 5 at Genesis Global Public School in Noida.

This follows the success of PCF CUP Cricket Season I, 2019, and PCF Football, 2019.

In a press conference held on Wednesday, the trophy for Season 2 was unveiled. The PCF Cup is an initiative of the Ponty Chadha Foundation in association with Citiskape Mediacom and is a first of its kind tournament with an aim to provide a platform for the corporate sports enthusiasts to showcase their talent.

Eminent guests and renowned personalities, including Rajiv Gupta, MD, Wave Infratech, H.S. Kandhari, Director (Finance), Wave Group, Vandana Sharma, Director, MBCN, Srijan Pal Singh, Founder, APJ Abudal Foundation, were present at the ceremony.

On the occasion, Kandhari said: "Taking inspiration from Prime Minister Narendra Modi''s FIT India movement, the objective of the PCF Cup is to create awareness about including sports in our daily lives.

"We want to create awareness about sports and indulge people in sporting activities through international standards of sports facilities for almost all outdoor and indoor sports and extend this to other segments like corporates, schools, social organisations, government etc.

"The endeavour of the Ponty Chadha Foundation has always been to uplift people and we are currently working in the field of skill development, education, health and nutrition."

The 16 teams participating in the tournament represent different corporate giants, namely Wave Group, Dabur, Maruti, Bank of America, Tata Consultancy Services, TMM, P&P, Red FM, AajTak, HDFC Bank, HCL, Xavient, KPMG, The Statesman, SBI Card and Radio Mirchi.

PCF Cup Cricket Season II will be co-hosted by Citiskape Mediacom, and the series would be conducted in accordance with the playing conditions similar to a standard T20 tournament in India.

The format of the tournament has been designed to boost networking opportunities for all the professionals involved.
