Internet muted in Tripura for 48 hours amid CM’s tall claim ‘No Effect of Anti-CAB Strike’ in State

NEW DELHI, Dec 11 (TIWN): Tripura is reeling under 48 hours internet shutdown immediately after Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb talked tall that Strike could not affect his state. On the other side, opposition Congress has demanded Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb who is also holding the Home Ministry immediately to resign from his post as he totally failed to control law and order of the state. Various violence took place in last 2 days where BJP’s own ally IPFT’s involvement was too alleged. Regional party leaders have asked all their workers, not to harm common men as this is not the main purpose of the protest. Common men are distressed as this is not first time that BJP led Tripura Govt has shutdown mobile internet services, but same happened earlier too centering lynching, Madhav Bari violence (in CAB protest) and few more times.The strike started on December 9 along with whole Northeast strike and on Day-1, around 15 teachers injured whereas on yesterday massive property burning were reported along with vandalizing. Few alleged, ruling BJP attempted to stop the movement.

Addressing media, Congress leader Pijush Kanti Biswas said that BJP had no right to interfere in someone’s protest like this. He alleged, BJP workers’ interference have led violence in many places.

On yesterday in Kanchanpur, Dhalai, Bisramganj violence reported. Even a patient carrying ambulance was too attacked.

Violence was instigated after in few places certain outsiders attempted to enter, although the clear reasons behind such untoward incidents have not come out. Tripura Police have reportedly done an excellent job in maintaining law and order and regional parties too have appreciated police’s tasks.

A “Joint Movement” committee yesterday along with Northeast Strike is conducting strike in Tripura too but after violence was instigated INPT Supremo Bijoy Hrangkhawl via media has asked all parties leaders to control workers and strictly prohibited any type of violence which can destroy community’s and parties’ names too. Joint Committee have announced to continue their movements tomorrow also.
